Department Overview
The Ecological Agriculture Department is dedicated to promoting sustainable farming practices that work in harmony with nature. Our mission is to advance agricultural systems that enhance soil health, conserve biodiversity, reduce environmental impact, and support resilient rural communities. Through research, education, and outreach, we empower farmers, students, and stakeholders to adopt innovative techniques that ensure food security while preserving natural resources for future generations.

Brief Biography:
Dr. Fuseini Mahama teaches at Bolgatanga Technical University in Ghana as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Business and Management Studies. Had extensive training and work experience in non-formal sectors prior to starting as a lecturer. He held positions as an accounts officer at UNICEF Micro-Credit Scheme, Ghana, from 2001 to 2004 and as a finance assistant at ABSE Personnel, UK, in 2008. Thereafter worked as a part-time lecturer in 2009 at the Universities of Applied Management in Accra, Ghana, and Kingsland College of Business Studies in London, UK. Since joining Bolgatanga Technical University in 2010, have been supervising student projects and teaching undergraduate (BSc, HND, and diploma) courses in Accounting, Business Finance, Business Mathematics, Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, Cost and Management Accounting, Money and Banking, Investment Portfolio Management, and Computer Literacy in Business. Also, an external examiner for Kumasi Technical University’s MTech in Finance programme.
